The new manufacturing paradigms need to be supported by appropriate digital solutions for exploiting their potential. Our strategy is based on applying new design processes and developing digital tools that can fill these needs, mixing different disciplines such as computer science, manufacturing knowledge and computational design applications.
Our approach is heavily information-based, harnessing user biometrics to drive product personalisation. We employ different technologies dedicated to image processing, pressure data, 3d scan and acquisition of data in various file formats. Our platform automates data management and processing, 3d modeling, reconstruction of features and meshing. Other features include various optimisation techniques, lattices, and material functionalization through additive manufacturing.
New technologies like 3d printing and other digital manufacturing solutions are changing the way how to produce products. We believe the proper integration of technologies like digital manufacturing and conventional production processes is fundamental for making these new initiatives successful in specific contexts. We pride ourselves on being able to control and leverage digital tools for pushing information to change material and manufacturing.
We apply computational thinking to product development and engineering solutions, breaking down problems into bespoke algorithms. The generative design methodologies allow a complete automation of the design and manufacturing processes, filling the gap between user data and product. This allow us to create complex geometries and new materials, enabling user-centred customisation with parametric settings.
